No Credibility

Filed under: Uncategorized —— flawless @ 9:23 am

Mr. Robert Rutkowski states that the radical anti-war activists are misguided, have no credibility, and need to support our troops in this war. While visiting a protest he observed many “amusing” sights: “One woman, wearing a shirt which read: FIGHT AMERICAN IMPERIALISM, suggested that our military is simply attacking a weak nation — a non-threatening nation– for financial (oil) gain.” (Rutkowski -par. 3) Rutkowski thinks we should support our troops while they are in battle instead of calling them murderers on such a false ignorant pretense. “..the time is at hand for people, the world over, to discard their petty complaints and show their support for all the brave soldiers…fighting for the freedom of nation and the eradication of a tyrant.” (Rutkowski - par. 5). A statement to be given much though. He later goes on to talk about how at the rally there was a sign “PEACE NOT WAR!!” And shares his thoughts on that and concludes with: “Of course peace not war! Nobody wants war, nobody looks forward to war, but certainly nobody looked forward to September 11th either..” (Rutkowski - par. 2)

While reading this article I noticed one humorous detail, I was reading what my dad always tells me. He is always talking about how we need to stop complaining and support our troops because WE have freedom, WE have options, and its that freedom that allows us to even argue against this war! I love how Rutkowski stated it, “We have the freedom to be critical, and if our nation is so unlivable..buy a one way ticket to Iraq and stay there.” (Rutkowski - par. 6) I agree with his statements, and I share in his amusement of the ignorant, non credible, antiwar radicals! For who attacked who? Robert Rutkowski is the Executive Editor of Americandaily.com and is highly credited with years of experience. His website has won many awards and gives BOTH sides of the story. Rutkowski showed his brilliance when he used pathos to have us recall Sept. 11th, and he also used logos throughout the ENTIRE article by just being himself.

The Iraq War

Joe Lieberman, a highly influential politian of the Senate, gives insight to his thoughts on the Iraq War and gives examples of the real success, and why we shouldnt abandon a cause that we are engaged in. Lieberman, a Senator of the Republican party, comes back with more information after his fourth trip to Iraq in seventeen months for not only to speak with the troops, but to also see the progress of the newly formed and nation, as well as to speak with some of the newly elected officials. When asked what he thought we should do he replied “America can’t abandon 27 million Iraqis to 10,000 terrorists.” (Lieberman) Senator Lieberman questioned the source of the media’s negativity towards the war, and questions the liberal left’s words on how “unsuccessful” the war is going and how slow progress is. “Progress is visible and practical…more work needs to be done, of course, but the Iraqi people are in reach of a watershed transformation from the primitive, killing tyranny of Saddam to modern, self-governing nationhood.” (Lieberman) He later states his opinion of withdrawal, “What a colossal mistake it would be for America’s bipartisan political leadership to choose this moment in history to lose its will and, in the famous phrase, to seize defeat from the jaws of coming victory.” (Lieberman) With the liberals and the media attacking President Bush’s way of handling the war and calling it a mistake and failure, Lieberman comes to his aid and states, “None of these remarkable changes would have happened without the coalition forces led by the U.S.” (Lieberman) Some other statistics Lieberman gave were, “66% say they are better now than they were under Saddam, 82% predict a better life 1 year from now, and about half of the country participated in the referendum of their constitution and voted in the elections, and Iraqi forces cleared the major terrorist cities.” (That shows that they have made major progress in their own self-securing abilities) (Lieberman)

I fully 100% agree with Senator Lieberman. His words are true, and he gives a good overview of the progress we really have made. And he is right, the liberals and media are NOT supporters of the war, and they DO NOT give good information, just negativity. Just take a look at the statistics Senator made, you tell me that isn’t progress! If our forces didnt go in there they would be under Saddam, suffering and dying because American’s were too afraid to go to war. Sure some deaths have occured, but for such a long war, we havent had hardly any. We have done nothing but help the down trodden and tell me what is wrong with that! Lieberman is a very credible source because for one, look at how many trips he has taken, he has talked to generals, he’s a senator and therefore gets information, and he isn’t afraid to say that there is no progress if there really isn’t, he is straight-forward and open minded. In the article, he is giving the notion of “hey, look at the facts and open your eyes to see the progress.”

What I Am

Filed under: Uncategorized —— flawless @ 8:42 am

I am a diamond;
Flawless, sparkling, and a treasure of the Earth.
Sought by all,
Yet to some, unaffordable.
A gift to all
And a giver of joy;
Crafted by the Master
And cut to His will.
I’m clear, I’m pure
Nothing is hidden within me.
And all in all,
I’m a sign of majesty and love.
